Madrid was our first stop in Spanish Adventure. We caught up with Jake an old friend and explored the night life with a few really cool locals.
We explored the city of Madrid with a walking tour then went to visit “Parque de El Retiro” to relax in the sunshine.
From Madrid we hitched a ride in a blabla car to Valencia.
Valencia combines old and new architecture to make a wonderfully diverse city. We Rented bicycles and rode the garden loop past the Olympic buildings and went for a bath at the beach.
Granada is home to the beautiful Alhambra. A monumental palace built atop the highest hill. The gardens were a marvel of the ancient world showing off wealth and architecture.
Looking out at Granada from the stunning Alhambra gardens.
The small beach town of Nerja was our pit-stop for the next few days. We sment most of our time relaxing and floating in the crystal clear water.
Blissfully exploring the broad walk along the coastline. The Balcony of Europe in the background.
She showed off splashn’ around.
Ronda is an extremely lovely part of Andalusia and worth the effort to add into your trip. Ernest Hemmingway boasted Ronda as Europes most romantic town. Walking the narrow corridors of the old town transports you through time. It is terrifically authentic and the home of modern bull fighting.
We crossed the Puente Nuevo bridge into the old town, then found the path down beneath the walls to get to this vantage point. Take caution if you are less mobile. In the 45°C heat the steep climb back to the top was a challenge.
The last stop on our Andalusian adventure.
Many believe the Flamenco dance to come from Seville. This notion is highly controversial but we indulged in an intimate evening of flamenco. We even got on stage for a few tips. a wonderful evening.
Bianca seemed to enjoy herself.
Once we learned the Alcázar of Seville was the location used in Game of Thrones for the palace of Dawn we had to make the visit.
Inside the Alcázar is mind blowing tile mosaics and gardens to rival even those of the Alhambra.
Seville is so hot the King had this bath built under the palace making it nice and cool.

See if your napisan plus will get these stains out.
Seen better days.
Straight from the warped genius mind of Gaudi, this beautiful mosaic seat
We had 4 days, we had 4 passengers and we had a fiat Panda… roll on good times!
We started in Palma and made our way around the entire Island.
Our lil road trip monster
One of the most fun roads I have ever driven! With the prize at the end is Sa Calobra. A stunning beach wedged between cliff and Mediterranean ocean.
Cap Formentor is the prize of a similarly spectacular weaving drive through the mountains of Mallorca. But watch out for Cyclists on this leg!
We pulled in for an ice cream the cute little port of Cala Figuera. Traditional fishing boats lined the small port we strolled the banks imagining a different life.
We drove up to one of the highest points to take in the beauty of Mallorca.
